Small Business Arts Forum

Last Tuesday, my classmates and I went to Enterprise Toronto's Small Business Arts Forum at NYCC. We met at the council chamber. The Forum started at 9:30 a.m. After 10 minutes we left because the voice was too soft and difficult to hear.
We toured North York Central Library and Douglas Snow Aquatic Centre. Katie introduced the piano room to me in the Library. We visited the warmer swimming pool in Douglas Centre. Finally, we went to the third floor to singed up for family number for city programs. We got some documents to apply for the Welcome Policy. I will have sent the application when I complete those documents.
It was a nice and useful trip for me, thanks.

A Trip To IEP Conference

Last Friday, my classmates and I went to the IEP conference. I took the subway to go to Metro Toronto Convention Centre's North Building downtown.
I was late when I arrived. All of the program was beginning. I went to the Finance&Accounting program. A woman was talking about how language is important in the workplace. I got more helpful information from that program.
After the conference we met together at the Information and Resources Marketplace (Room 106/107) for lunch. We talked to each other and took some nice pictures. By the way, the tuna sandwich is too big for me.
It was a very informative trip. I hope I can get a job or go to college next year.

Trip To Eaton Centre

Last Friday I went shopping at the Eaton Centre. This was my first time at the Eaton Centre by myself. I didn't buy anything but I enjoyed the trip.
I took the subway by myself and went the correct way. I found beautiful clothes and shoes, but they didn't have my size. Finally, I had a nice lunch. It was my lunch time. No kids, no housework, just delicious food.
It was a good experience for me. I hope to take another trip on the next holiday. Maybe I'll go to Niagara Falls.

To get a free card, all you have to do is come to the library and show some identification. You can use the card right away.
A: Hi, good morning.
B: Good morning.
A: Welcome to the library.
B: Thank you.
A: What can I do for you today?
B: I'm xxx. She is my daughter xxx. We would like to have a Library Card.
A: Fantastic! We need to see some identification, please.
B: OK.
A: What's your name and address?
B: How about a driver's licence?
A: That will be perfect.

winter driving

TO:Jinin

Dear Jinin.
This winter is cold and snowy. Next month, when you visit me, you should be careful driving on the highway because there has lots of snow and ice on the road. I have some advice for you:

  1. Have a winter driving kit in your car (including booster cables, a blanket, extra footwear, and energy foods).
  2. You should check the tire. The tread depth must be at least 1.5 mm.
  3. You can find information about highways at www.ontario.ca/511 before starting out.
  4. When maintenance vehicles come from behind, don't pass them.
  5. Call 911 for emergencies.

Good luck!

Yours,
Lan
